Jesper Gottlieb received his formal training at University of California, Berkeley and at The Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts, where he graduated with a master degree in architecture in 1983.
Until 1993, when he became partner in Gottlieb Paludan Architects, he worked with various architectural firms in both the US and Denmark, and over the years he has taught at schools of architecture in California, New Mexico and Copenhagen.
Jesper Gottlieb has been the creative director of Gottlieb Paludan Architects for almost 3 decades and has won national and international recognition and awards for his contribution to industrial and infrastructural architecture with winning the Brick Award 20 in the category Working together for the City Archive in Delft, as the latest.
